by Sean B Carroll. This book and this mans work has been discussed here already. I am 100 pages into this read of his. Carroll is an outstanding writer. He is yet to reach 50 years of age. I think maybe the torch has been passed from the likes of Dawkins, Dennett, Maynard Smith, Mayr, etc., to this brilliant scientist. Carroll can explain evolutionary science as good as anybody alive today. Philosopher of Science Michael Ruse says that if Darwin were to sit down and have a discussion with anyone on the planet today, it would be Sean Carroll. I am glad we have him for many years to come to explain biology/genetics to us all.
Do yourself a favor if you are interested in evolution and read his work.
