Believing that you can’t live your life without “god” makes you both helpless and supposedly gives you a way out of that helplessness by making you believe that you need a saviour who has a plan for you.

But religion makes you helpless in the first place, so it’s a false solution to a non existant problem.

Yeah, Religion “saving” people and giving them hope is about like a crutch salesman cruising around crushing peoples’ kneecaps and being lavished with praise for providing such a needed service, only for the minimal cost of slave labor.

Yup. Religion and faith are all about dependence and helplessness. You must worship and you must submit.

Pretty sick if you ask me.

It’s amazing that people are so willing to be described as sheep in need of a shepherd.
