I was exercising in our Rec. Center pool yesterday and a woman asked me how many hours I spend in the pools. I told her I am the perfect explanation of our species coming from the ocean. She was visibly shaken and asked I was talking about evolution? Certainly. I replied and she asked if my relatives were monkeys? Certainly! She got out of the pool and ran for her life.
This is the reaction I get from many in this development. School taught them nothing but their churches are very eager to explain everying per the bible. I would imagine her grandkids are told not to talk to Grandma about religion.
The lies and terrorism that come from organized religion is a tragedy and it is time the schools stood up and brought science into their lives from day one. Just teach clean science and the kids will soon put it together.
No kidding. I got that reaction when I got into a discussion with an evangelical about where our morals come from. I said they come from reason and the instinct of survival and began talking about the biblical “morals” in the bible. He gave a little ah, shut up hand wave and walked away.
