In the twilight of the Cold War, the United States spent millions of dollars to supply Afghan schoolchildren with textbooks filled with violent images and militant Islamic teachings, part of covert attempts to spur resistance to the Soviet occupation.

The primers, which were filled with talk of jihad and featured drawings of guns, bullets, soldiers and mines, have served since then as the Afghan school system's core curriculum. Obviously, then 9/11 was all Ronald Reagan’s fault.

The only thing this post proves is the lack of intelligence of the person who sent it.

It was actually the US governement that Printed those Text books for over a decade , to both Afghanistan and many went to Pakistan.  they were paid for by the US tax payer , even though AID is not supposed to get involved in this .
Kids learnt Maths while adding Bombs and Grenades , and learning the present and past tense by talking about Jihadis and Fighters   and this was done on purpose to make the Afghans hate the white invader and cause them to Stand up and fight him (RUSSIAN invader )

Also   Islamism , was created in Washinsgton   by Zbigniew Brzezinski (im not saying it is all Americas fault but the Jihadis and ossama bin laddin were first recruited by the CIA to fight the russians )

Seriously, this should come as no surprise. We did arm Al Qida during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan.

It’s a case of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”—namely, the CIA helped the jihadists because the USSR was a bigger threat to the world in the 70’s.  Jihadists and the US were mutually useful to one another in order to defeat the USSR in Afghanistan.

Also the Muslim butchers ruling Indonesia were useful as well during the cold war for the same reasons.

As for when Islamism was created (and by whom), it was created about 1350 years ago by an epilectic paranoid murderous pedophile in the middle of some Arabian desert.

I don’t have a link for this, but I am sure Google will dig up a bunch of stories. Apparently, a few years ago. Saudi Arabia vowed to remove all hate speech of other religions and nations from their school textbooks. After some investigation by CNN’s people, they have but modified it. Instead of removing these sorts of things they have modified them to get them past censors, but the same message is still there. This should be terrifying as the Saudis are training yet another generation of hatred. This story was on Anderson Cooper last night.

A kneejerk foreign policy that unfortunately was the dominant paradigm during the Cold War. I wonder what the butcher’s bill would tally if there were a way to calculate it all up.

In the end, since a nuclear holocaust was avoided, was it worth it?
