I’ve just been thinking about television addiction and drug and alcohol addiction, and I was wondering if religion is also a form of addiction?

If Jesus or your religion, whatever it is,  is more important to you than your own children, could religion be seen as addictive?

Have any studies been done on the brainwaves of religious people versus non-religious people?  Especially during their religious services?
