On page 94 of the paperback edition, Mr. Harris notes that Muslims consider the Hebrew Bible sacred. However, most Muslims believe that the Hebrew Bible that exists in its current form has gotten doctored.

While the Koran itself refers to the Hebrew Bible several times in such a way that one would presume that an undoctored version of it still exists (why should someone get criticized for not following *doctored* scriptures), Muslims generally concluded that the current Hebrew Bible is doctored.

According to muslims, the Bible and all other religious writings on the planet are inferior to the Qu’ran. Personally, I find this quite humorous considering Muhammad created islam almost exclusively from the Jewish Torah.

It gets even funnier in the context that most of the OT was written to impress the Babylonians while the hebrews were in captivity in what would become Iraq.  So, in a sense, the muslims adapted, as the foundation of their religion, folk myths and fairy tales that were written to impress them in the first place!

I think all the religions based upon the bible are worthy of our deepest respect and admiration, don’t you?

Actually, there were no Muslims when the Bible was written. And Mohammed lived in Saudi Arabia, not Iraq.
