[quote author=“Enda80”]On page 94 of the paperback edition, Mr. Harris notes that Muslims consider the Hebrew Bible sacred. However, most Muslims believe that the Hebrew Bible that exists in its current form has gotten doctored.
While the Koran itself refers to the Hebrew Bible several times in such a way that one would presume that an undoctored version of it still exists (why should someone get criticized for not following *doctored* scriptures), Muslims generally concluded that the current Hebrew Bible is doctored.
FYI:
“.......Nevertheless, the Qur’an gives a hint that a portion of genuine Torah is still preserved in the Scriptures of the Jews, as is a part of genuine Injil still extant in the Scriptures of the Christians. Allah (God) says: And how do they make you a judge and they have the Torah wherein is Allah’s (Gods) judgment? (5:43); And of those who say: “We are Christians”, We did take their covenant, but they forgot a portion of what they were admonished with . . . (5:14). Both verses clearly imply what we have said.”
