Assuming that there is such a thing as free will, in order for a human to study any human behavior the actions being observed have to be isolated from the reactionary matrix and be free of the observer’s social biases.
Sentient organisms respond to their highly evolved biological problem.
There is no free will.
“Morality” is actually nothing but a value judgement given to a conceptually separated observed reaction.
The conceptual mind can study relationships within its actual-substantial world.
It can determine how fast light travels or how much an apple weighs.
It cannot determine the function and origin of something that exists only as one of its own descriptions.
