Behold!  The Retro-Encabulator!

This is one of the few video versions of an engineering joke that has been going on for about 50 years…maybe more.
The most current version I've found is a whitepaper for a Digital turbo retro-encabulator.

At last!  Something to get rid of sinusoidal depleneration.  I could have made a fortune in the 80’s if my damn company had been able to solve that problem!  The Russians solved it first, and built the Red October with it.
