It is strange to notice that Richard Dawkins is thanking Mr. Kristof for making him aware of the Web site http://www.whydoesgodhateamputees.com, when it was Sam Harris who mentioned this site on Letter to a Christian Nation first.

It is even stranger when you read Richard Dawkins quoting Sam Harris' Letter to a Christian Nation on The God Delusion.

You’ll have to forgive him. Dawkins is a scientist. Scientists are used to crediting the sources of their ideas, even if there are disagreements in progress. It is really a wonderful snapshot of this type of discourse, and indicates many of the superiorities of science over superstition as a way to progress toward knowledge. It also leads to vulnerabilities, in which people use the openness of science with ill-intent.

Gosh.  Is it possible that Dawkins didn’t read the entirety of Letter to a Christian Nation - maybe just the parts that applied to himself?  I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.
