In recent days, there has been a remarkable upsurge in spam on this board.
The incidents that I speak of include:
1. An author who decided to promote his book by posting the exact same post in mutliple threads in multiple forums.
2. An individual (or possibly a group) who is spamming what amounts to Hindu agitprop against Christianity.
3. An individual (most likely the same one as in number 2) who is using the agitprop as a springboard to launch deranged attacks on the people using this forum (and to promote a book).
I could certainly flag all of these posts, but the intrinsically dishonest nature of them (especially 2 and 3) means that these people will simply continue to pull this garbage under new names until the cows come home (no pun intended).
I don't really know what to do about it, so I guess this is more of a rant than a suggestion, and for that I apologize, but the blatant dishonesty and disrespect for this forum is extraordinarily irritating.
