Paul Martin is taking a lot of heat for this decision and I fully support him. http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2005/09/30/1243236-cp.html

The Catholic church didn't react this aggressively even to the holocaust. Anyway, I always assumed the body of Christ would taste more like beef jerky than crackers so Prime Minister Martin isn't missing much.

It’s all so crazy. Wonder if it could backfire on the church when the voters realize that Catholic politicians CAN be extorted by the church to do it’s will. Falls right into the hands of any anti-catholic propagandists. (As if I really care)
