I would like to draw your attention to a new source of atheist information called “The Atheist News”. It is an avenue for publishing all the interesting rational and sometimes irritatingly irrational things an atheist encounters in the travels in wide world of the computer Internet.

It is found at http://atheistnews.blogs.fi

The aim is to choose only one or two news items daily, but to keep the quality high. The sad and sometimes also funny things done in name of different religions are the standard fare of The Atheist News, but also the great appearances by rational writers and speakers are raised to public awareness.

Do they have any biography’s on famous atheists of the past, such as Karl Marx?  Does it talk about all of the wonderful things atheists have done in the world?  Or does it just make fun of religion, Bill Maher style?

Atheist News.  The name just sounds bad.  Gives me a cold feeling.  Even FOX NEWS sounds better than Atheist News.  Sorry to dampen the debut.

I’m afraid that for you everything with an “Atheist” label sounds as bad and so I do not take your humble opinion personally at all.

I however wonder why do you want to have biographies of long ago dead men in an site reporting current, daily events?

If so, there should of course also be biographies of the great names in the religions also, as of the founders Inquisition, of all the popes demanding and getting their bloody and needless wars on all kinds of infidels or people responsible of the religious wars in Northern Ireland and Middle East.

The religions are however never mocked in the site; they do it all by themselves.
