I heard excerpts of this today on Freethought Radio. It’s called God on Trial and here’s a synopsis:

Faced with the terrors of Auschwits, a group of prisoners puts God on trial for abandoning His chosen people. Sir Antony Sher, Dominic Cooper, and Stellan Skarsgard all star in this riveting drama about believers and non-believers coming to terms with unprecedented evil.

This movie is awesome! It is not an atheist movie, it is a movie about people and faith, but I was still moved by it very much. I got to see online before it got shut down.

There is still a clip here.

I watched this on the PBS a few weeks back.
This original teleplay takes place in pretty much one room and feels like it was a play written half a century ago… it’s well-written and well-acted, and hits on many of the points many on this forum have hit upon once or twice. Definitely worth watching when it pops up as a presentation on the masterpiece theatre.

Wow.

This is a very powerful movie.

I’d like to know how it ends. Do they all end up believing god works in mysterious ways?

THIS tells you what goes on, but doesn’t reveal the verdict.
