A law could soon be past in the Canadian Province of Alberta (probably the “bible belt of Canada”) that would protect the right of parents to pull their children from classes in school that address the Theory of Evolution or homosexuality.

The governing Conservative majority claim that this protects a fundamental right of parents.

Sad day in Canada if this passes.

This is another reason why there ought to be a Parenting License.
And one requirement would be a decent score on an IQ test.

Imo, this is just an example of book-thumpers who feel that their way of life could be changed.  “Damn change!  Damn it,” they say.  “We must do whatever we can to prevent it.”

I can’t wait to hear about some kid who wants to learn about science, and yet has parents who don’t want him/her to.
