Hi everyone, I ran some searches but didn’t find my answer. I want to read the Quran but I don’t want a watered down translation. Can anyone recommend what copy I should buy?

Do you want to believe the Sunnis or the Shiites?
Or the Bahi?
Or the Sufi?
Or the Mirzai?
Or the Wahabi?
Or the Alawites?

Actually there are seventy three distinct groups.
This is going to take you a long time.
When you find the right Quran, perhaps you could find out which Bible is accurate.
If you are searching for the ultimate truth it would be more profitable to source Grimm’s Fairy Tales.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. From the reviews of several qurans that I have read it seems some of the translators have taken out the cruel and disgusting verses. I’m looking for the most honest translation with the most fucked up verses left intact.

Does anyone know what version Sam used in “The End of Faith”? That would probably be what I’m looking for.

You might start here:

But in that light the Bible is no different.
