How active should we be in reporting spam?

I've noticed several threads, particularly in the "Faith" section that is nothing but just spam, porn or otherwise.

While I'm not terribly upset by seeing links to porn sites, I think such posts is irrelevant to the intentions of this site, and therefore by their mere presence here lowers the quality of the site (basically, it gives an untidy, disorganized impression).

Should we just hit the report button whenever we find something to our dislike?
And, furthermore, are the accounts of spammers routinely deleted?

Otherwise, thanks for a great site!

Anytime I see porn spam, I immediately report it to the administrator. Other members here do that as well.

Ok!

Have you by the way seen the great “buy flowers” spam just arrived at the site?

I think I’ll report that one right away..

Something’s just not working right, and the spam continues to flood into the sight.  It does cheapen the appearance, I hate to say.

One thing to help in reporting it -

If I try to delete multiple spam messages in a row, I can’t do them to rapidly after one another or I get the message: You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while.

Anything that can be done to make reporting spam different from posting messages?  Perhaps if I leave the message field blank….?

I would also be happy to log in each time to the forum using whatever security measure might be necessary.  Might you implement one of those “type what you see” boxes, where you have psychedelic-looking letters/numbers?

I would even consider paying a small 1-time fee…..

How about a differnt type of board? This one is obviously easy prey to spammers. Besides, I think we need a new look.
