A Swedish Jew, skiing in Kashmir was beaten up by a mob for having a sticker on his skis, quoting the first verse of the Koran, which states, “In the name of Allah, the most beneficent, most merciful.”

Then for good measure, the mob launched a protest that shut down the entire ski resort and spread to the neighboring town Srinagar, and called for all foreigners to leave.

I wonder, is there anything that doesn’t offend Muslims to the point of violence anymore?

I am the very model of a Christian Evangelical
I’ve no need for courtesy when fighting things heretical
I know the bible word for word; you’ll find me pedagogical
I have my faith so I’ve no need for ideas that are logical
Atheists and Pagans fall before my wit satirical
They’ll burn in hell just as they should; their cries will be so lyrical
I’m always right, you’re always wrong, my reasoning’s dogmatical
For I’m the very model of a Christian Evangelical

Un-freaking-believable that a sticker with (assumedly) no graphic representation of Allah, praising Allah, would still piss off Muslims. I just do not know what to think. Such a mentality is unfathomable.

Someone should try to talk some sense into this irate mob, but it has to be someone from within their ranks, whom they will actually listen to. Where’s Jack Shooter when we need him?

Those fuckers.  Let’s kick their asses.

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
with the cross of Jesus going on before.
  Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
forward into battle see his banners go!

Great pic Teuchter but, er, it shows Christians being defeated! By Mongols, what’s more! Those damn shamanists, why do they hate us so much?

Well if you can’t trust
Welcome to Concord Publications, a publisher devoted to military books.
Who can you trust?

Could they be Chechnians?

‘Islam means peace, you Islamophobs…...’

No it doesn’t GAD, it means ‘submission’

Big difference and therin lies the problem.

Now if you will excuse me I must report to the football field for halftime to partake in stoning an adultrous woman to death.

Could they be Chechnians?

They have all the appearance of Mongol soldiers, who were not involved in the Crusades at all - they invaded Central Asia shortly after the last crusade. Strange that the artist should get the visual details so accurate but not the history.

They overlapped. The Mongols invaded what is now Iran (Khwarezmid Empire)  in the early 13th century (about 1220) and the Crusades did not end until the 1270’s I believe.

My information is that the last crusade in the Middle East ended in 1204. Whatever the date, there is no record of a Crusader army ever having fought a Mongol army. There is some evidence that Hülegü sent a message to Pope Urban IV in which he called himself ‘friend of the Christians and destroyer of the Muslims’ and requesting an alliance based on Mongol supremacy, but this was turned down. Your call McCreason. I can’t believe I’m arguing about this.

Arguing? Just discussing IMO. FWIW here is the timeline of Mongul invasions. They invaded Eastern Europe in the late 1200’s.
