Could someone help me out?  The first time I ever heard of Sam was through a speech/ Q&A session he did for End of Faith which aired on Book TV.  I have not been able to find this anywhere.  The entire video must be atleast 45 minutes long.  Does someone know what I’m talking about or where I could find this video?

the book tv lecture is not available from cspan anymore unfortunately.  i had it archived on my tivo for the longest time since i knew i wouldn’t be able to view it again.

I think you are referring to Sam’s appearance at the University Synagogue/Irvine United Congregational Church on C-Span/Book TV on Feb 6, 2005.  The audio track for this lecture was made available on the original Sam Harris website, but apparently was not transferred to this new site.  Fortunately I have this lecture, I am more than willing to send the audio files to you if you want to post your email address.  Otherwise you might try searching the internet under “Sam Harris, University Synagogue”.

Unfortunately they’ve inserted audio of punk-rock music at different points in the interview.  I don’t know what these guys were thinking—but they really fucked this up big time.

This past Friday, Oct 6, 2006, Point of Inquiry had yet another podcast featuring a lengthy interview w/ Sam Harris.
