C. S. Lewis and the Search for Rational Religion Beversluis, J. Prometheus Books; Rev Upd edition (November 29, 2007)

This book is the only book-length critical study of C.S. Lewis’ attempts at rationally defending Christianity. These attempts occur in books like _Mere Christianity_.
Lewis’ books are among the all-time favorites of modern Christian apologists.
Beversluis carefully and patiently shows that all of Lewis’ attempts are absolute rubbish. Again and again, his so called arguments turn out to be shockingly explicit examples of elementary logical fallacies. The book has been badly neglected. It would be tragic if this book remains largely unknown but Lewis’ continue to enjoy a totally undeserved cult-hero status.
