Essays (Everyman’s Library Classics & Contemporary Classics) Orwell, G.

Why am I recommending this book?

Dude, if I need to explain…... Ok, ok here goes.

The Everyman Library single volume edition is the best, most accessible way to read Orwell’s journalism and essays. In these pages, Orwell gives 30-year clinic in independent critical thinking. Orwell decided very early on to take a hard look at the world and to deliberately seek out hard experience. Over 3 decades of essays, book reviews, political polemics, and first hand journalism, Orwell tries his best to puncture every lie and illusion he encounters. After all was cut away, Orwell was left with some bitter and beautiful truths about life and politics. Perhaps no other contemporary writer saw more clearly through the lies of the totalitarian regimes of his day.
