Fads and Fallacies in the Name of Science Gardner, M. 1957
A wonderful collection of essays debunking pseudoscience by Marting Gardner - in his lucid, witty, and inexhaustibly curious style. Gardner goes after faith healing, dowsing rods, cultish cultural phenomena, creationism and much more. The book also contains one of the earliest takedowns of L. Ron Hubbard’s ‘Dianetics’ (Scientology).
Witty, wise, and thoroughly researched. Highly recommended.
