Fooled by Randomness: The Hidden Role of Chance in Life and in the Markets Taleb, Nassim Nicholas Random House; 2 Updated edition (October 14, 2008)

Mr. Taleb’s book, Fooled by Randomness (2004), examines what randomness means in business and in life and why human beings are so prone to mistake dumb luck for consummate skill.

This highly personal exploration of the nature of randomness travels from the trading rooms in New York and London to Russian roulette and Monte Carlo engines.  While it may be impossible to guard against the vagaries of the Goddess Fortuna, after reading Fooled by Randomness, one can be a little better prepared.
