Not for Profit: Why Democracy Needs the Humanities Nussbaum, Martha C. Princeton University Press; First Edition edition (April 12, 2010)

I get tired of hearing about how useless fiction is from folks who haven’t picked a novel not written by Dan Brown or Patterson since they left school.  This book discusses the ways in which humanities make citizens, which is what I truly wish more schools and universities would take seriously.  As usual, Ms. Nussbaum is succinct, persuasive and her language flows across the page effortlessly.
