Power, Sex, Suicide. Mitochondria and the meaning of life. Lane, Nick Oxford University Press, USA (December 11, 2006)

It is a book that presents the latest current scientific thinking on many of the fundamental questions on evolution and the nature of life itself. He brings together many concepts and theories from all the life sciences and presents them in a coherent and very readable way. Opened my eyes to the sheer complexity of life and nature at the cellular level in a fascinating and challenging way. It has made my acceptance of where mankind fits into the natural universe very much stronger and more at peace.
