The Wisdom of Insecurity Watts, A.

Very good superficial overview of Eastern philosophy; specifically the illusion of the ego.  The book also, as noted by the title, focuses a lot on the insight required to accept one’s inability to control their own lives and the world.  Essentially the book argues that it takes wisdom and courage to accept the inevitable reality of insecurity in this life.  Once one understands this you can not only accept the anxiety of becoming truly awake and self aware in this life; but relish in it.
