Either way, great when they come in pairs.

Flower Belle Lee: I generally avoid temptation… unless I can’t resist it.

I actually came across the article innocently when I was reading up on bird behavior.  Besides the funny bird name (Martin, had you heard that name before?), I thought it was kinda interesting that science acknowledges that even little birds have different personalities.

Here in the US, we have only bushtits.  They are tiny, perky birds that travel in small flocks in the winter and make musical “dee dee” calls to each other.  Sometimes my suet feeder will attract 20 or so bouncing around it.

We got them all here…
  Bearded tit
  Blue tit
  Coal tit
  Crested tit
  Great tit
  Long-tailed tit
  Marsh tit
  Willow tit
...even seen a few “stupid tits” driving too fast down our back lane at times too.

  Bearded tit

This one is not appealing at all.

MARTIN UK - 08 December 2012 01:17 PM

  Blue tit

Give the girl a coat, for crying out loud.

MARTIN UK - 08 December 2012 01:17 PM

  Coal tit

Once you’ve had black .....

MARTIN UK - 08 December 2012 01:17 PM

  Crested tit

Better than the bearded one, but still unappealing.

MARTIN UK - 08 December 2012 01:17 PM

  Great tit

Now we are back on track.

MARTIN UK - 08 December 2012 01:17 PM

  Long-tailed tit

Is this like nipple streamers?

MARTIN UK - 08 December 2012 01:17 PM

  Marsh tit

Love those swamp girls.

MARTIN UK - 08 December 2012 01:17 PM

  Willow tit

Too droopy for my tastes.  Needs a lift.

Makes up for the lack of variety.

I spoke too soon.  We have no more in the actual “tit” genus, but we do have so-called wren tits and the titmouse.  Actually the titmouse is more of a chickadee…I’m not making this up.

Don’t forget our Bush-Dick. We had enough of them.
