When we talk about different peaks on the moral landscape, are we not talking about different sets of circumstances, culture and values? Therefore practices on each peak would need to be assessed in relation to its circumstances, culture and values. If this is correct, then we are still using moral relativism. I don’t think this damages SH’s argument, even without the analysis, it still seems possible to deem some practices as bad or abhorrent in any context.
