Man who lost his nose to cancer is growing a new one in his ARM

A British businessman who lost his nose to cancer is growing a new one – in his arm.

If all goes well it will eventually be removed and sewn on to his face, with experts at University College London hoping he will have feeling and a sense of smell.

The new nose, the first in the world to be grown from scratch, will also look just like the 56-year-old man’s old one – slightly crooked.

Mail Online..

I had to check todays date… it’s not April 1st, so this must be legit.
How very bizarre, how it will affect his sense of smell I really don’t understand, your nose doesn’t do the smelling I thought…

Yup.. science is cool, if they can make a nose…they could probably make anything. Can’t wait to see the pictures.

Would that not make you walk like the Tinman when you get aroused??

Yes. You should also see the chaos it causes at the table during dinner parties.

So would he have hairs growing all over his nose, like on his arm?  I guess a hairy nose is better than no nose, for sure.

I was thinking the same Hannah, some people have real hairy arms.

What about the feeling in it too… will nerves grow into it and be reattached or will it be a numb nose… what about the cartilage, will it be floppy.. so many questions.

I guess so… But who nose?

I’ve never liked my nose. I wonder if they’ll be able make them in different shapes. In fact, I’ve never been overjoyed about any part of my face so why not grow a whole new face on my butt and, once it’s ready, off with the old and on with the new. But where will this all end? Could we end up growing new brains to replace those addled by alzheimers and dementia? That would be fantastic. I need that to happen fairly soon, though.

I’ve heard of “tennis elbow” but this is something else. How many are you cultivating?

Bear in mind, elbow skin is not very sensitive. Try biting it!
