NC teen: Nose ring more than fashion, it’s faith

“I think it’s kind of stupid for them to kick me out of school for a nose piercing,” she said. “It’s in the First Amendment for me to have freedom of religion.”

You can barely see the nose ring - it looks more like a blackhead. I’m going to start a Church of the Nasal Blackheads, and I will be the Chief Schnoz. I don’t care if that sounds snotty, everyone nose that a church needs a ring leader.

I’ve always wondered how those things stay in place. Is there, like, a clasp or something inside the nostril? Gross.

I don’t see why it makes any difference why she’s wearing it. If it’s against the dress code, she shouldn’t wear it.

My Ex (she was from India) had one it was made like a question mark with the straight part bent up 90d to the circle part i.e. lay a question flat on a table and then bend the straight part straight up. They will not fall out.

I hired a very pretty young massage therapist. She had a good reputation and did well during her interview. On her first day at work she wore her nose ring, she had left it off for the interview.

I always wondered about that, but was afraid to ask. Thanks!

My religion says I have to display my Prince Albert in the presence of a non-believer.

It’s my religion, man.

O! Potter nostril! The Shadow Nose, about the Ring of Truth! Nares a trace of faith. Family arity breathes contempt.

Am I the only dirty-minded old man who thought “I’d LOVE to be part of that interview process”?

You mean ... audition? If she lacked a tongue ring, would she be agnostic?  So what brf, is the stress of school getting to you already, or is it just the anticipation of being around all those cute little honeys on campus?    wink

I’m not old.

Religion without a deity?  How does that work?  So far I call, “Bullshit”.

Every fool claims the First Amendment for something or other nowadays.

Personally, I don’t care if she has the nose ring bling or what.  But, she is so stupid for saying what she said, that I would prefer she be gagged for the rest of the school year.

Oh god.  This is in NC…

Nose rings shouldn’t be disallowed in the first place.  Who cares?  I actually say its religion as I’ve met someone of the church of body modification.  His whole body was tattooed, and said that in doing so he creates religious experience for himself.  My opinion: as long as you believe in something hard enough, then it can be spirituality with religious experience.  His ‘praying’ was like exercising in a mirror and focusing on each of his tattoos, which all had some meaning behind them.  I think that’s what created the religious experience.

By your definition I had religious experience while taking a shit. I would start a religion but there are so many shit religions already that I think I’ll just head back to the bathroom and pray for guidance on the subject.
