I looked at some Sam Harris'tv appearances and i found him very courageous to argue with O'reilly. In United States right now, the intellectuals like him can hardly discuss such topics with serenity and reason. The religious and probaably the political argumentations lay solely on manicheism.Recently i have seen on french tv avery good conversatio between intellectuals. One of them just wrote -Le traité d'athologie- Michel Onfray explained why this writing was for him a militant action. I was also impressed by their common views even if i did not read Sam Harris' book (my english is not very good!).
I don't know if Mr Harris read those forums but i want to tell him: Chapeau monsieur and keep going. I hope one day to hear him in some Montréal's universities and read his french translated's book.

Salut Danielle ...
I hadn’t heard of Michel Onfray before your post, and I’m sorry to have missed his interview on tv5. Which of his books follows Sam Harris’ thoughts on faith? It would be interesting to compare the two. I’ll keep my eye out for the French translation of ‘The End of Faith” and let you know if it pops up.
