I propose the following article as a worthwhile read about the ethics of attitude when faced with grim medical prognoses and options. An excellent Op-Ed piece by Richard Sloan, sound in its evidence and reason.
At the end of life, many of us grasp for that which we hope brings hope and some modicum of mental comfort, however small, if not illusory. I will not blame my fellow man and woman for their choice in this.
Still, this will not be my way.
